DVDStyler.net is an independent community resource about DVDStyler, the free and open-source DVD authoring program. DVDStyler itself is free software released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2, and downloading it costs nothing. To help cover the cost of running this site, some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. This page explains what that means for you.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a link to a product or service sold by another company. If you click one of these links and later buy something from that company, we may earn a small commission or referral fee. The commission is paid by the seller, not by you: the price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone to the seller’s website directly.

Which products may appear here?

DVDStyler covers DVD authoring, and the paid products we may link to are related tools and supplies, such as:

  • Video conversion and editing software that complements DVDStyler (for example, the Wondershare UniConverter and Filmora product families);
  • DVD and Blu-ray authoring software for tasks DVDStyler does not cover, such as Blu-ray creation (for example, products from Leawo and Movavi);
  • Hardware and media sold through Amazon, such as external USB DVD or Blu-ray burners and blank discs;
  • Related services, such as cloud storage for backing up your video files before you burn them.

Links to these products are placed only where they are relevant to the page you are reading — for example, on a comparison page, in a tutorial that mentions a paid alternative, or in a hardware checklist. We do not let commissions decide what we write: where a free tool such as DVDStyler is the right answer, we say so, and our comparisons include free alternatives that pay us nothing.

How affiliate links are marked

Affiliate links on this site use the rel=”nofollow sponsored” attribute, which is the standard way of telling search engines that a link is a paid placement. Most affiliate links on this site run through our own short /go/ redirect addresses so that we can keep them accurate and replace them if a program changes.

Downloads are not affected

Our download links are separate from affiliate links. The main download channel on this site points directly to the official DVDStyler files hosted on SourceForge, and we also list clearly labeled mirror copies hosted on Terabox. DVDStyler is free, open-source software: you never need to click an affiliate link, create an account, or pay anything to download it.
